Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate aims to foster student success in all areas of development, including academic, emotional, physical, and social. Blue Ribbon pairs students in fourth grade with adults who will serve as their mentors through twelfth grade.
The Bonner leaders are involved at Blue Ribbon with the after-school tutorial, social media, and the Youth Leadership Institute. Bonners are encouraged to incorporate their own interests into their work. For example, Jerome Allen, a Class of 2016 Bonner, is planning on developing support for the LGBTQ community within the Blue Ribbon programming. In the future, Blue Ribbon also hopes to expand their services to more students and increase the level of engagement of the students in their programs.
