Stephanie Romero-Jaramillo is a sophomore Bonner Leader studying Political Science with a minor in Social and Economic Justice. Stephanie works with helping students of color strive in education and life through the Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate community partnership. Stephanie visits Middle Schools to assist students of color during afterschool programs. Stephanie also works in the office ready to assist program. Stephanie has been an asset to this program because of her bilingual skills in Spanish and English. Stephanie has helped this program branch out towards the Latinx community by contacting Spanish-speaking parents for events that the program has for them and their children. Stephanie is simply an asset to this program because the children that Blue Ribbon serves can see someone that looks like them striving for success, while helping them strive for success as well.
