William Meinders is a first-year student at UNC from Atlanta, Georgia, and is majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. William plans to use his major to pursue a career in medicine. William is currently working with community partner TABLE, a local food nourishment non-profit. William hopes to aid TABLE in ending food insecurity among children by bringing innovative ideas and enthusiasm to the organization. In high school, William was the Co-President of Interact Club, a member of the Science National Honor Society and Beta Club. William also worked regularly with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the Atlanta Human Society, and coached a youth lacrosse team.
